Financial contributions supporting the administration, activities and programs of The Friends may be made to the following funds:
The General Fund helps pay operating expenses: The newsletter, postage, organizational dues, committee activities, office supplies, fund-raising,
insurance, sponsorships, publicity, and funding for library programs, equipment and materials. ![]()
The First Friends Fund is used to support library programs that promote children’s literacy, and to provide books, materials and equipment for the Youth
Services Department. A popular program is Waggin’ Tails that gives a child the opportunity to read to a service dog. The child gains reading skills
without interruptions or corrections from the listener. ![]()
The Anna V. Duffield Fund, in memory of Loveland’s first librarian, is reserved for significant library improvements, program enhancements, equipment
additions, and professional development of staff. This fund provides tuition reimbursement for staff continuing education. ![]()
Priscilla’s Bookshelf, in honor of long-time Loveland book discussion group leader Priscilla Beal, provides multiple copies of the same book for check-out
by local discussion groups. ![]()
Sponsorships for programs and activities help us defray expenses and make more money available to the library. Sponsorships are needed annually for
SweetNight for the Library, Loveland Loves to Read, and Loveland Lights. ![]()
The Building Legacies Fund was established in 2005 to gather funding for the expansion and renovation of the library. ![]()
Donations to any of these funds can be made in memory of or in honor of the person(s) you designate. Please give the name(s) of the individual(s) and the
name and address of the person(s) to whom we should send a notice of your gift.
