Loveland Loves to Read would like to thank all who contributed to the success of our 8th annual author event on Nov. 2 & 3rd. We appreciate the funding provided by The Friends and our generous sponsors: PVH Foundation, McWhinney Foundation, Wells Fargo Foundation, Dr. Andrew Howard, DDS, and Roberta Moyer. We also want to thank the Rialto Theater for providing the wonderful venue and Anthology Book Company for their book sales and door prizes.

Our One Book--One Community selection this year was "Blue Heaven" by C.J. Box. The author's presentation at the Rialto Theater was well attended, and C.J. Box was an outstanding speaker. The following day he was joined by two other mystery writers, Sandi Ault and Bonnie Ramthun, for a stimulating and insightful panel discussion, which also received excellent ratings by those who attended. Both events were videotaped and will soon be available at the library for those who missed the programs.
The Mystery Writing Contest held in conjunction with our program was won by Jessica Benes with Kathleen Donnelly as runner up. Congratulations to both of them, and thanks to all who participated.
Our committee is currently considering next year's book/author. We always welcome anyone who loves to read and would like to join us. LOVELAND LOVES TO READ is a “One Book—One Community” project. Each year a book is selected and all interested citizens of Loveland are asked to read the book and join in discussions. The author of the book is invited to Loveland to talk about their experiences and about the book. Loveland Loves to Read presents a variety of programs related to the subject of the books in the weeks before the author’s visit.
Sponsors and donors are always needed to underwrite the cost of bringing a well-known author to Loveland and advertising the program.
