We are expecting to have over 50,000 books in 50+ categories, along with Music CD's, DVD's, Books on CD and cassette tape, and other non-book items. Prices will range from 25¢ to $1.00 for children's books, and $1.00 to $2.50 for teen and adult books. A selection of Vintage, Treasures, and Collectible books will be available at separate prices. On Sunday, all books and non-book items will be available for the price of $4.00 per standard plastic grocery bag, to include some books from the Vintage, Treasures, and Collectibles category.

Children 12 years old and younger who attend the sale will be able to pick out a free book of their choice from the children's section. There will be a table in the children's section with crayons and coloring pages to keep the youngsters busy while their parents shop for books.

As part of our "Going Green" effort, we ask our patrons to bring their own plastic, paper, cloth, reusable shopping bags, or boxes to the sale. For the $4.00 Bag Sale on Sunday, prices for containers supplied by patrons will be determined according to what a standard plastic grocery bag holds. There will be a display of containers and their respective prices.

The 4-H Building has its own gravel parking lot adjacent to the building with handicapped parking on the asphalt in front of the building. Patrons will be able to pull up next to the building to load their purchases. Parking is free for this event. Patrons should inform parking attendants that they are going to the Friends' Used Book Sale.

Volunteers are needed from Tuesday, April 24th, through Sunday April 29th. If you are able to help with driving a rental truck, loading and unloading boxes of books, setting up, sales days' responsibilities, closing, cleanup or returning equipment to The Sorting Place, please contact Barb Franke at 203-0904, or go to the CONTACT tab on this website and send an email to the Volunteer Coordinator.
