For Expansion & Renovation of Loveland Public Library
The Friends of the Loveland Public Library Foundation, Inc. is proud to be conducting a Capital Campaign to raise $2 million for the expansion and renovation of the Loveland Library. Capital Expansion Funds already earmarked for the project to expand the library and enrich the community amount to $3.9 million. The City of Loveland will be providing the additional funding for this project, which is expected to cost around $10.4 million.
The Loveland Public Library was built in 1987 for 36,100 residents. Now, the City’s population is over 66,000 with the Library being used more than ever.
The amount raised by The Friends as of January 1, 2011 is $1,500,000 of our $2 million goal, which adds up to 75%!. Added to that is the potential of an additional $100,000 from the Gates Family Foundation Denver if we reach our goal by June 1, 2011. Work continues at the same pace as the construction progresses.
With your help, our Library can continue to grow as an exciting center for information, inspiration, education and exploration at a level that is relevant to today’s reader, student and family. Please add your support to this important project by making your donation today.
