Once library construction begins, there will be no storage space for donations of books and media since the loading dock on the north side will be demolished and there will be no access to the library on the north side. City staff will be installing the book drops previously used at the grocery stores outside the entrance to the Friends’ Sorting Place at 1010 W. 10th Street for donations of used books for the Friends of the Library book sales. These should not be used to return library books. Donations can be deposited there at any time; not just on Wednesdays when volunteers are in the building. Until further notice, the library will still accept recently published magazines that will be made available for free to other library users.
