Surf the World of Books, the adult summer reading program continues through August 7. For each book read, participants can enter weekly prize drawings. Stop by the Information/Reference desk to submit entries or to learn more.
The teen and children’s reading programs are in full swing with a variety of free programs and craft activities, most with a water theme. Information is included on the enclosed calendar. Make Waves @Your Library, the teen program, ends with a pool party at Winona Pool on July 30 from 5:30 – 7:30 pm. Teens who complete the reading program will get a ticket to attend the pool party. Call 962-2548 for more information about teen programs. The special events for children end July 31 but prizes will be available until August 16.
The whole family is invited to the Tuesday evening concerts at Foote Lagoon. Mr. Shine returns on July 20 with songs, puppets and magic. Ann Lincoln presents her “ Yo Ho Ho Pirate Show” on July 27. Both shows begin at 7 pm and will be moved to the library’s Gertrude Scott Meeting Room in case of rain.
